A majority of the energy in this feed comes from sources which provide long-term sustainable energy and prevent rapid changes in blood sugar. Highly digestible fiber provides a continuous source of energy and a fluid and electrolyte reservoir which the horse can utilize during exercise or performance. An excess of 10% dietary fat in the form of soybean oil provides increased energy density. This allows horses to maintain their weight while eating fewer pounds of feed. Vitamin and mineral fortification are at levels appropriate for performance horse. Vitamin E and selenium are provided at optimum levels.

Fibregized is a blend of soluble fiber sources and soybean oil. This feed is a source of low starch, high fat, and extremely high fiber. Fibregized may be used for horses prone to conditions such as recurrent exertional rhabdomyolysis(RER)i.e."Tie-Up" and grain allergies. This formula has also served quite well as a no-grain, soft, senior feed.

HIGHLY PALATABLE:
Feed mature idle horses 0.5 to0.6 lb per 100 lbs bodyweight. Horses and ponies in light work (trail riding, dressage, showhunters, western pleasure, etc) should be fed 0.6 to 0.75 lb per 100 lbs bodyweight.
Feed horses and ponies in moderate work (jumpers, western performance, eventing, driving, endurance, etc) 0.75 to 1.0 lb per 100 lbs bodyweight.
Feed mature horses and ponies in heavy work (racing, polo, upper level eventing, etc) 1.0 to 1.5 lbs per 100 lbs bodyweight.
Amount required will depend on activity level, bodyweight, and other factors. Feed with at least 1 lb of good quality forage per 100 lbs of bodyweight along with free choice
access to water and salt.
Feed changes should be made GRADUALLY over a period of 7-10 days by replacing a small portion (10-15%) of the original feed with an equal portion of Fibregized Omega each day. This is especially important in horses unaccustomed to Fibregized Omega which contains significant amounts of highly digestible fiber.
Care should be taken to prevent rapid consumption of grain meals. Fibregized Omega may be fed dampened to reduce rate of intake and encourage water consumption.
